Privacy.

We prefer not to know your source code. The bill never leaves the machine it was generated on.

In your browser. Cart, reservations, and a local waitlist copy live in localStorage (`se-cart`, `se-ledger`). Paste-a-file on /bill is processed client-side. We do not upload your source. Clearing site data deletes those records. We cannot recover them.

If you join the harvest list or enterprise intake. We receive the email (and name, company, tier, note when you send them) on our server and in an inbox we control (via Resend). That is so we can actually write you when cans exist, which the local-only list could not do.

If you pay Polar. Polar.sh is the merchant of record for digital SKUs. Polar processes name, email, payment method, billing country, and tax as needed to complete the charge. We look up a Polar checkout by id only on the success page and wallpaper download so we can fulfill the file. Public `/grid` never lists Polar orders, never embeds Polar checkout ids in node ids, and never returns customer email or name. A buyer who returns from Polar with `checkout_id` sees their own paid label after a server-side lookup; the map payload is an opaque node id plus the label they typed. Polar’s privacy policy governs the payment record.

Hosting. The site is served from Vercel. Logs may include IP, user agent, and URL. We do not sell this. We do not run advertising pixels. If Vercel Web Analytics is enabled, it collects privacy-oriented pageview counts without cookies we set ourselves.

Cookies. We do not set a tracking cookie for the joke. Polar checkout and Vercel may set cookies required to run checkout or the CDN. Fonts are requested from Google Fonts.

Retention. Waitlist and enterprise emails are kept until you ask to be removed or the project is wound down. Polar retains payment records per their obligations. Local reservations last until you clear storage.

To delete a waitlist or enterprise email, write from that address to support@syntax.energy (or the support address on your Polar receipt).
